Au S\u00e9n\u00e9gal, la justice a prononc\u00e9 sa premi\u00e8re condamnation depuis l\u2019entr\u00e9e en vigueur de la nouvelle loi renfor\u00e7ant les sanctions li\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019homosexualit\u00e9.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le 10 avril, un homme de 24 ans a \u00e9t\u00e9 condamn\u00e9 par le tribunal de Pikine-Gu\u00e9diawaye, en p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie de Dakar, \u00e0 six ans de prison ferme, assortis d\u2019une amende de deux millions de francs CFA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ce jugement marque la premi\u00e8re application de la l\u00e9gislation adopt\u00e9e en mars et promulgu\u00e9e quelques semaines plus tard par le pr\u00e9sident Bassirou Diomaye Faye. Le texte pr\u00e9voit un durcissement des peines, d\u00e9sormais comprises entre cinq et dix ans de prison, et introduit \u00e9galement des sanctions contre ce qui est qualifi\u00e9 de \u00ab promotion \u00bb de l\u2019homosexualit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n

Vague d\u2019arrestations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cette d\u00e9cision intervient dans un contexte de r\u00e9pression accrue. Depuis f\u00e9vrier, plusieurs dizaines de personnes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 interpell\u00e9es \u00e0 travers le pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon diverses sources, ces arrestations font souvent suite \u00e0 des d\u00e9nonciations ou \u00e0 l\u2019exploitation de contenus personnels, notamment sur les t\u00e9l\u00e9phones. Dans certains cas, l\u2019identit\u00e9 des personnes arr\u00eat\u00e9es a \u00e9t\u00e9 rendue publique, les exposant \u00e0 des risques de violences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inqui\u00e9tudes des ONG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

L\u2019adoption de cette loi avait suscit\u00e9 des critiques d\u2019organisations de d\u00e9fense des droits humains, dont Amnesty International et Human Rights Watch, qui avaient appel\u00e9 les autorit\u00e9s \u00e0 renoncer \u00e0 ce texte.<\/p>\n\n\n

Plusieurs dossiers similaires sont actuellement en cours d\u2019instruction, avec des suspects plac\u00e9s en d\u00e9tention provisoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Face \u00e0 cette situation, des associations rapportent une hausse des demandes d\u2019aide de personnes souhaitant quitter le pays. Les proc\u00e9dures d\u2019asile, notamment en Europe, restent toutefois longues et incertaines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
