Il serait mort dans une op\u00e9ration \u00ab\u00a0chirurgicale\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> des forces arm\u00e9es nig\u00e9riennes le 15 ao\u00fbt. \u00ab\u00a0Bakoura\u00a0\u00bb,<\/em> de son vrai nom Ibrahim Mahamadou, \u00e9tait l’un des leaders du groupe djihadiste Boko Haram, qui op\u00e8re principalement au Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selon le bulletin des op\u00e9rations de l’arm\u00e9e du Niger, \u00ab\u00a0Bakoura\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> a \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9 sur l’\u00eele de Shilawa, dans la r\u00e9gion du lac Tchad dans le sud-est du Niger.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u00ab Dans la matin\u00e9e du 15 ao\u00fbt 2025, les Forces Arm\u00e9es Nig\u00e9riennes ont men\u00e9 avec succ\u00e8s une Op\u00e9ration Sp\u00e9ciale d’une rare pr\u00e9cision sur l’\u00cele de Shilawa dans le bassin du Lac Tchad, ayant permis la neutralisation de plusieurs Chefs terroristes dont le tristement c\u00e9l\u00e8bre Ibrahim Bakoura, alias Abou Oumaima \u00bb<\/em>, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 l’arm\u00e9e dans son bulletin d\u00e9taillant ses op\u00e9rations r\u00e9centes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fond\u00e9 en 2009 au Nigeria, Boko Haram est aussi pr\u00e9sent, dans une moindre mesure, dans les pays voisins, dont le Tchad, le Cameroun et le Niger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au Tchad, les forces arm\u00e9es ont affirm\u00e9 avoir captur\u00e9 plus t\u00f4t cette semaine le plus jeune fils du fondateur de Boko Haram, qui \u00e9tait soup\u00e7onn\u00e9 d’y diriger une cellule djihadiste li\u00e9 \u00e0 l’ISWAP (\u00c9tat islamique en Afrique de l’Ouest), un mouvement ayant fait scission de Boko Haram en 2016.<\/p>\n\n\n

Au Niger, Boko Haram n’est pas le seul groupe djihadiste combattu par les forces arm\u00e9es : le pays doit \u00e9galement faire face \u00e0 plusieurs mouvements sah\u00e9liens. Les combats se sont notamment intensifi\u00e9s dans l’ouest du pays \u00e0 partir de 2019, les forces arm\u00e9es peinant \u00e0 endiguer les groupes djihadistes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
