Les autorit\u00e9s du Gabon d\u00e9cident de mettre fin \u00e0 un accord de p\u00eache qui lie le pays \u00e0 l’Union europ\u00e9enne.<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

C’est dans un communiqu\u00e9 officiel que l’annonce a \u00e9t\u00e9 faite indiquant un d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibre dans ce partenariat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En vigueur depuis 2007 et renouvel\u00e9 en 2021 pour six ans, l\u2019accord permettait aux flottes europ\u00e9ennes d\u2019exploiter les ressources halieutiques gabonaises.<\/p>\n\n\n

Mais selon le pr\u00e9sident Brice Oligui Nguema, les recettes g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9es ne compensent ni la valeur r\u00e9elle des captures, ni les co\u00fbts de surveillance assum\u00e9s par le Gabon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les m\u00e9dias locaux indiquent que cette rupture devrait ouvrir la voie \u00e0 une ren\u00e9gociation sur de nouvelles bases, ou \u00e0 la recherche de partenaires plus align\u00e9s avec les priorit\u00e9s nationales.<\/p>\n\n\n

Entre 2024 et 2026, le gouvernement gabonais entend accro\u00eetre la contribution de la p\u00eache, \u00e0 ce jour d’environ 15 %, au produit int\u00e9rieur brut (PIB) du pays – rapporte le document d’information de l’emprunt obligataire \u00e9mis par le Gabon en 2024 sur le march\u00e9 de la Cemac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
