Le nombre d\u2019expulsions \u00ab\u00a0d\u00e9passe tous les chiffres document\u00e9s des ann\u00e9es pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes\u00a0\u00bb, rapporte l\u2019organisation. Ces refoulements donnent lieu \u00e0 des traitements \u00ab\u00a0violents\u00a0\u00bb, voire \u00ab\u00a0mortels\u00a0\u00bb envers les personnes concern\u00e9es.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dans un pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent rapport, APS indiquait que l’Alg\u00e9rie\u00a0avait expulse quelque 20 000 migrants rien qu\u2019entre janvier et ao\u00fbt 2024. Cette structure lanceuse d\u2019alerte, bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Agadez, au Niger, est un r\u00e9seau d\u2019associations de l\u2019espace sah\u00e9lo-saharien et d\u2019Europe. APS d\u00e9nonce r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement\u00a0les expulsions de migrants<\/a>\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0dans des conditions brutales\u00a0\u00bb<\/em> avec, \u00ab\u00a0dans le pire des cas, des cons\u00e9quences mortelles\u00a0\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les migrants sont \u00ab arr\u00eat\u00e9s lors des rafles en ville, au niveau de leurs maisons, de leur lieu de travail ou \u00e0 la fronti\u00e8re tunisienne \u00bb,<\/em> expliquait le responsable de la communication de l\u2019ONG, Moctar Dan Yaye, \u00e0 l\u2019AFP<\/em> en novembre. Ils sont ensuite \u00ab regroup\u00e9s \u00e0 Tamanrasset (sud alg\u00e9rien) avant d\u2019\u00eatre achemin\u00e9s dans des camions vers le Niger \u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n

APS demande une \u00ab aide humanitaire digne et suffisante pour tou.te.s les migrant.e.s et les r\u00e9fugi\u00e9.e.s bloqu\u00e9s au Niger \u00bb,<\/em> et \u00ab l\u2019arr\u00eat de la pers\u00e9cution et de la violence polici\u00e8re \u00bb <\/em>envers ces personnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abrogation de la loi contre les trafiquants de migrants<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les autorit\u00e9s nig\u00e9riennes ont convoqu\u00e9 l\u2019ambassadeur d\u2019Alg\u00e9rie<\/a> en avril dernier pour \u00ab protester \u00bb<\/em> contre \u00ab le caract\u00e8re violent \u00bb<\/em> de ces op\u00e9rations de rapatriement et de refoulement. Alger avait \u00e0 son tour convoqu\u00e9 l\u2019ambassadeur du Niger, jugeant \u00ab sans fondements \u00bb<\/em> les all\u00e9gations des autorit\u00e9s nig\u00e9riennes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En novembre 2023, la loi criminalisant les activit\u00e9s li\u00e9es au trafic de migrants au Niger avait \u00e9t\u00e9 abrog\u00e9e par le g\u00e9n\u00e9ral Abdourahamane Tiani<\/a>. Cette d\u00e9cision a entra\u00een\u00e9 une forte augmentation des flux migratoires vers les fronti\u00e8res alg\u00e9riennes et libyennes.<\/p>\n\n\n

Depuis, \u00ab de nombreuses personnes se d\u00e9placent librement \u00bb<\/em> sur \u00ab les routes \u00bb<\/em> de la migration \u00ab sans craindre les repr\u00e9sailles \u00bb <\/em>encourues jusqu\u2019alors, indique APS. Les passeurs risquaient auparavant jusqu\u2019\u00e0 30 ans de prison et une amende 30 millions de FCFA d\u2019amende.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
