Au cours d\u2019un entretien avec Ap vendredi, le pr\u00e9sident Macky Sall a justifi\u00e9 sa d\u00e9cision de reporter l\u2019\u00e9lection pr\u00e9sidentielle, alors que des manifestations ont \u00e9clat\u00e9 \u00e0 travers le pays, entra\u00eenant la mort d\u2019une personne \u00e0 Saint-Louis.<\/p>\n\n\n

Dans sa premi\u00e8re interview depuis l\u2019annonce du report, Macky Sall a r\u00e9fut\u00e9 les accusations selon lesquelles la d\u00e9cision \u00e9tait anticonstitutionnelle et qu\u2019elle avait engendr\u00e9 une crise constitutionnelle, affirmant que le pays avait besoin de plus de temps pour r\u00e9soudre les controverses concernant la disqualification de certains candidats et un conflit entre les pouvoirs judiciaire et l\u00e9gislatif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat a ni\u00e9 toute intention de s\u2019accrocher au pouvoir. \u00ab Je ne cherche absolument rien d\u2019autre que de laisser un pays en paix et stable \u00bb,<\/em> a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9. \u00ab Je suis enti\u00e8rement pr\u00eat \u00e0 passer le relais. J\u2019ai toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9par\u00e9 pour cela \u00bb. \u00ab Je ne veux pas laisser un pays qui plongerait imm\u00e9diatement dans de graves difficult\u00e9s \u00bb,<\/em> a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 le Pr\u00e9sident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le Parlement s\u00e9n\u00e9galais a adopt\u00e9 lundi une loi fixant la nouvelle date des \u00e9lections au plus tard le 15 d\u00e9cembre, lors d\u2019une s\u00e9ance chaotique. Le Conseil Constitutionnel devrait se prononcer dans environ une semaine pour savoir s\u2019il est d\u2019accord avec la conclusion du Parlement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cependant, Macky Sall n\u2019a pas souhait\u00e9 dire s\u2019il accepterait la d\u00e9cision de la cour si elle rejetait le report. \u00ab Il est trop t\u00f4t pour moi de consid\u00e9rer cette perspective\u2026 Quand la d\u00e9cision sera prise, je pourrai dire ce que je ferai \u00bb,<\/em> a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
